Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.  (approx. 56 AD)

Acts 20:24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.  (approx. 57 AD)

Philippians 3:1314 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, [14] I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (approx. 61 AD)

Colossians 1:28-29 Him (Christ) we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. [29] For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me. (approx. 62 AD)

The effectiveness of Paul’s ministry (life) was dependent on steady clarity about His Christ-ordained, Holy-Spirit empowered mission. 

There are several universal Christian truths revealed by Paul’s example:

• As our Savior, Christ is also our Lord who directs our life.
• The priority of Christ is the priority of every believer.
• The Christian life is filled with challenges that require constant dependence upon Christ.
